Learning disabilities

In the UK today, there are over 1 million people living with a learning disability. This can affect an individual’s social skills, ability to communicate and, in severe cases, mean that they will require support with everyday tasks such as washing and feeding.

We understand that every individual has very different needs and can help to draw up a care plan which will best meet your needs.

At Care at Home we have an outcomes-focused approach and recognise that by providing a little extra support, there may be ways to help an individual live more independently and become as involved as possible in making choices and decisions for themselves. By working towards new achievements and goals, we can help you to live a safe, secure and fulfilled life.

We can assist with day-to-day living tasks, social activities and support with financial matters. There may also be opportunities for carers to help with finding employment, education and housing solutions.
